In an effort to revitalize downtown Westbury, County Executive Ed Mangano announced the approval of an economic development compact that helps construct a new 20,700 sq. ft. building equipped with four shops and ten rental apartments. The project is expected to benefit the local economy by $1.8 million.
“This project not only helps in revitalizing downtown Westbury”, said County Executive Mangano, “but also improves the quality of life and spurs economic development in the village while increasing the availability of rental apartments which are in short supply and high demand.”
Since County Executive Mangano took office, he has helped create 970 rental units for Nassau residents.
