Mangano Announces Nassau Participates in DEA National Prescription Drug Take-Back Initiative

Mineola, NY- Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano announces that Nassau County will be participating with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency in their nationwide Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday April 26, 2014. This prescription drug take-back program aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.

While all of the Nassau County Police Department Precincts contain 24 hour drop off boxes, this Saturday residents will be able to discard any and all prescription drugs at any of the nearly 40 locations across the county including many of the village police departments and area hospitals.
