Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano joined the President of the New York State Fraternal Order of Police today in a special ceremony to honor New York’s bravest and most heroic police officers.
The names of 100 fallen officers from all over the State will be inscribed on a memorial at 911 Police Plaza in Hicksville, where the officials gathered to memorialize the fallen members of law enforcement.
“This statement truly defines all of the officers who were taken from their family and friends long before their time,” County Executive Mangano said. “The heroes being inscribed on the wall will always be remembered and the entire state of New York owes them a debt of gratitude. They made the supreme sacrifice for all of us.”
