Attention job seekers: The New York COSMOS are looking for an Account Executive and, a Training & Development Coach to work out of the team’s practice facility at Mitchel Field in Garden City.
And the Long Beach school District needs to hire teachers,
For those interested in applying for any of these positions, come on down to Nassau County’s Mega Job Fair on Oct 7 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, from 10am-2pm, and submit your resume to their representatives.
Officials with the soccer team will join more than 135 other companies and groups that will be offering hundreds of jobs, ranging from customer service reps, electricians, architects and security guards to home health aides, bank tellers, teachers and lab technicians. Positions include entry level as well as mid-management level.
Other agencies – including schools, Vocational Training programs and Community based organizations – will be on hand to provide information and resources.
This is the 7th major job & career counseling fair County Executive Ed Mangano has held since taking office in Jan 2010.
Between 500-600 people obtained employment at Nassau’s last job fair in Nov 2013. That brings the total people hired from the County’s first six job fairs to about 1,800 people.

County Executive Mangano said he hopes to have at least 350 companies register for the Private Sector Mega Job Fair, and he expects more than 13,000 job seekers to attend.
The firms participating so far this year largely represent the Finance & Banking industry; Retail & Sales and Insurance companies. But there will be numerous representatives from Law Enforcement; Health Care; Transportation companies and the food industry. The jobs offered range from apprentice level to supervisory positions.
County Executive Mangano also announced free job preparation classes for residents in advance of the Oct. 7 Job Fair. Classes include assistance with resume writing, techniques for an effective interview and how to best explore career options. A veteran representative will be at the workshops to assist veterans.
The Job Preparation Workshops are being offered September 10th, September 17th, September 23rd, and September 30th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Coordinating Agency for Spanish Americans (CASA) located at 40 Main Street, Lower Level in Hempstead.
