Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano will join New York State Senator-Elect Michael Venditto, Town of Hempstead Supervisor Kate Murray, United Water, the Citizens Campaign for the Environment, King Kullen Supermarkets and the Suffolk County Water Authority as they launch a Long Island consumer driven “Dispose My Meds Program” at a press conference tomorrow, November 13th at 11:00 a.m. at John J. Burns Park, 4990 Merrick Rd, Massapequa Park, NY.

Officials will display a container filled with discarded pharmaceuticals estimated to enter our Long Island ecosystem every 10 minutes of every day of every month to underscore the amount of medications placing our environment at risk.
