Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano today recognized a local charity designed to greatly improve the quality of life for all veterans, through first-class housing, quality medical care, spiritual comfort and guidance, and stress management.
A citation was presented by County Executive Mangano to representatives of Yes We Care, Inc. including Paul “Sequence” Ferguson, CEO; Fran Petito, Executive Vice President; and Gunnery Sergeant James Battisti, who will become a member of the Board of Directors when he retires from the Marines next year.
Paul is a musician who regularly entertains the veterans, and is also a 13-year Army veteran. Fran does hands on work at hospitals and the VA Center in E. Northport, including concerts, holiday parties, clothing, book and food donations.
County Executive Mangano thanked the group for all they do for our “hometown heroes.”
More specifically, Yes We Care, Inc. assists veterans with accessing quality cancer care; nutritious daily meals and relaxation therapy through music.
