Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano, Council of Chambers of Commerce President Julie Marchesella and other elected officials joined with the members of Family Residences and Essential Enterprises (FREE), Inc. on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 11:00am, to raise awareness of their artisan gift boutique, Fancy FREE, and to remind Nassau residents to shop locally this holiday season.

“With just days left until Christmas, we gather to remind residents of the importance of shopping local and bring attention to this great local business – Fancy FREE Gift Boutique – in the heart of the Farmingdale Village,” said County Executive Mangano. “With an 11.2% unemployment rate for individuals with disabilities, the hands-on training and employment opportunities that Fancy FREE offers to such individuals is vital. Shopping locally helps employ residents and keeps local dollars in our economy while strengthening our tax base. This holiday season, and all year long, Buy Local and Shop Local.”
Fancy FREE Gift Boutique, located at 248 Main Street in Farmingdale, sells handcrafted and personalized items for all types of special occasions, including great gifts for the holiday season. Proceeds from sales at Fancy FREE help to provide hands-on training and employment opportunities to many of the individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental illness and traumatic brain injury that FREE’s organization is proud to serve.
