Nassau County Police this weekend arrested 4 Heroin dealers involved in recent overdoses in Long Beach and Westbury, Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano announced. One of the defendants was found in possession of 500 bags of Heroin.
Along with the Long Beach Police Department, Nassau Narcotics Vice Squad detectives arrested Markee Reeder, 40, of Hempstead for selling Heroin, in Long Beach, several times in February and March. One of the Heroin sales resulted in the fatal overdose of a 41-year-old Long Beach man. Reeder, who was arrested March 11, had with him a Greyhound bus ticket to Florida for March 12, 2017. He is charged with 2 counts each of Criminal Sale and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.
The Narcotics detectives also arrested Anthony Ingenito, 68, of 2547 7th Street, East Meadow after an investigation into a non – fatal overdose of a Westbury resident that occurred on Feb. 16, 2017. Ingenito was arrested at his home on Friday, March 10, 2017, with 500 bags of heroin. Later that evening, detectives arrested two people believed to be Ingenito’s “drug source” – Julius Perez, 33, and Sahily Lapaz, 29, of Woodhaven, Queens.
All three were arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Saturday, March 11, 2017 and charged with multiple counts of Criminal Sale and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Ingenito was also charged with Conspiracy.
