Two men suspected of being responsible for the drug overdoses of two Nassau residents –one resulting in a death – were arrested this weekend for attempting to sell Heroin. A third man was arrested for possession of cocaine. More than 24 bags of heroin and 13 bags of crack cocaine were recovered during the arrests.
Nassau Police Department’s Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives, and members of the Long Island Heroin Task Force, were investigating a fatal overdose which led them to Ronald Kibler, 25, of Wyandanch. Kibler was arrested in Massapequa on Sunday about 5:30pm for possessing and attempting to sell a controlled substance. The driver of the car Kibler was in, was also taken into custody. Both defendants were arraigned today, 07/24/17, in First District Court, Hempstead.
Nassau Detectives – with the assistance of the Fifth Squad – also arrested a Queens man for possessing heroin with the intent to sell narcotics in Valley Stream on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 4:55 pm. An investigation into a “serious” overdose of a Nassau resident led police to arrest Steven C. Washington, 32, of Springfield Gardens as he sat in a 2015 Honda on Brookfield Road in the vicinity of Mill Road. He was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Sunday, July 23, 2017.
