Mineola, NY – In response to the events that occurred in Las Vegas on Sunday night, which claimed the lives of 59 individuals and injured over 500 others, Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano, joined with the Nassau County Commission on Human Rights, to host a vigil to honor and pray for the victims of this unprecedented act of violence.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and the families of those who were killed or wounded in Sunday’s attack,” County Executive Mangano said. “Nassau Police closely monitored the situation and remains on heightened alert.”
The vigil took place on the front steps of the Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building, 1550 Franklin Ave, Mineola, at 5:30pm on Wednesday, October 4th.
